Symposium: Integrative Health in Athletic Performance

Saturday, October 29 – 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Hannaford Hall, University of Southern Maine

The Center for Wellness Leadership (CWL) is a new nonprofit organization based in Portland established to raise awareness for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). Such practices include acupuncture, yoga, mind-body medicine, naturopathy and more. CWL has complied a thorough database to serve as a one-stop resource for information surrounding all CAM modalities that aid in overall wellness. On Saturday, October 29, CWL will present a signature symposium event: “Integrative Health in Athletic Performance.” WCM is proud to be a sponsor of this important event.

The symposium will explore how complementary and alternative therapies enhance athletic performance, reduce injuries and improve mental focus. A panel of professional athletes, including Dave Cowens of the Celtics, will discuss their experiences using alternative medicine.

Discounts are available for CWL members and CAM practitioners, including WCM members. For more information please contact info@wellnessleadership.org or you can register here.
